자기 기만이 없다면 희망은 존재할 수 없지만, 용기는 이성적이고 사물을 있는 그대로 본다. 희망은 소멸할 수 있지만 용기는 호흡이 길다.

희망이 분출할 때는 어려운 일을 시작하는 것이 쉽지만, 그것을 마무리하는 데는 용기가 필요하다. 전쟁을 이기고, 대륙을 제압하고 나라를 세우는 데에는 용기가 필요하다.
