Introduction 분산성(Dispersibility), 분산안정성(Stability & Shelf Life), 재 분산성 (Re-dispersion) 특성을 평가하는 것은 분산 및 유화안정성을 평가하는데 있어 매우 중요한 항목이다. 이 특성을 규명할 때, 먼저 선행되어야 할 것이 바로 분산상태(Dispersion State)이다.
그럼 분산상태는 어떻게 정의할 수 있는지 살펴보자. Definition of Dispersion State ISO/TR 13097:2013 Guidelines for the characterization of dispersion stability에 보면, 안정성의 저하가 어떠한 현상에 의해 발생했는지 정성적 평가가 필요하다고 언급하면서 “Stability Metrics”는 “Properties of the state or behavior of a dispersion which should be monitored…”라고 정의하고 있다.
