말로리-바이스 증후군 Mallory-Weiss syndrome (MWS) is characterized by lacerations at the oral or anal side of the esophagogastric mucosal junction in response to frequent vomiting or retching. It is a major cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding and is traditionally associated with heavy alcohol consumption.
