'내 (진즉에) 이럴 줄 알았다.' : 직설적으로도 당연히 쓰이지만, 대부분 비유적으로 사용되는 표현으로 어떤 일이 일어나기 전부터 예측하고 있었다는 뜻 ※ 부정문으로 쓰이면 '이럴줄 전혀 몰랐다'의 뜻 - I saw this coming from a mile away. (나는 예전부터 이렇게 될지 예상했어.) - No one saw that coming.
(아무도 그렇게 될지 몰랐다.) - How couldn't you see this coming? (어떻게 이렇게 될 줄 몰랐어?)
- Nobody saw the Coronavirus coming. (아무도 코로나 바이러스가 오는 것을 예상하지 못했다.) - I saw it coming from a mile away.
