대왕암은 신라 때 삼국통일을 이룬 문무왕의 왕비가 세상을 떠나, 문무왕에 이어 애국용이 되어 울산 동구 대왕암 밑에 수장되었다는 불가사의한 전설이 전해 내려오고 있다. 대왕암교를 건너 대왕암에 이르르면 드넓은 바다와 푸른 하늘이 가슴을 확 트이게 한다.
야간 조명에 비추어진 바위들은 낮과는 또다른 신비함을 느끼게 해준다. 바로 옆 2021년 개통한 출렁다리도 또다른 명소가 되고있다.
