쿼라를 읽다가 흥미로운 부분을 발견했다. 글 제목은 Is this correct: "Sorry, I was busy and I couldn't answer properly"?
말 그대로, 그때 너무 바빠서 제대로 대답하지 못했다라는 뜻인데, 왜 이런 걸 질문했을까. 그냥 읽었을 땐 큰 문제가 없어 보였다.
한 사람이 답을 한다. Yes, it is correct.
But, in my opinion, in order for it to be a useful statement, it should have “at that moment” added to it, as in “Sorry, I was busy at that moment and I couldn’t answer properly” or “Sorry, I was busy and I couldn’t answer properly at that moment.” Otherwise, it sounds dismissive.
